sculpins skittering
    close by -- tadpole wiggles --
mingling with the seaweed and eelgrass
drifting in and out
faint rainshower sounds
    riding on the waves
dense salty air
    softly blowing in from The Sound
Paw and foot prints
    claiming the space
    revealed by the tide
steaming from the
    full force of the sun
Parents searching
    and filling buckets --
    forgetting their kids briefly;
Summer dream.

        Oblong spotlight with
Unbroken waves
        Running its length
        Towards us
Beckoning us forward
        Landing lights
        into the sea
The moon
        Over the Olympics;
Quiet.
