Beween Silence and Thought

(a stream of consciousness poem)

She squeezes between silence
and her own thoughts
I am outside
looking in
somewhere beyond words
is where our hearts meet
bone by bone
muscle by muscle
and you there in your raincoat
drenched in higher thought
the night
has blown me away
with a single kiss
but not without taking note
of you

tc~ i find this style of writing very attractive... magnetic even!
in fact, i tend to think that Thought is a stream in consciousness...
i think this poem contains wonderful images and abstractions:
"...in your raincoat/ drenched in higher thought..."
very provocative images!
very surprizing. i hope you are inspired to write more "stream of consciousness" poems!

the "... our hearts meet
bone by bone
muscle by muscle"
is so erotic, especially after
"She squeezes between silence
and her own thoughts"

For me, it connects to the spaces between anthony's polka dots and something someone (Mary) has been saying over the last few days about A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle (which I haven't read) but she described something about the spaces between thoughts being so significant.

Also, it makes it sound like Her thoughts are louder than silence.

I like that.
